Chapter 1334 David, you have nothing left now.

One of the congressmen let out a quick laugh and said, "Mr. Carl Jude, you're a genius. I knew you had something up your sleeve. Seriously, no one can touch you. The country needs your leadership to hit the big leagues. Ralph's just digging his own grave; he can't hold a candle to you."

Carl chuckled, "You're sharp, but I remember you just called Ralph 'President.' That means you can't be on my team. Take him away."

With a flick of his wrist, the congressman was dragged off.

"Mr. President, please! I was wrong. I won't do it again."

His pitiful cries echoed through the banquet hall, sending chills down everyone's spine. But no one dared to speak up, scared they might be next.

Right now, the most freaked out were David and the Dixon family, especially Marigold. Her perfectly made-up face was now twisted in terror, about to lose it.

Just a moment ago, she was about to be the queen bee, and Joseph was groveling at her feet. How did everything flip so fast?

"Why is this happening?" she screamed. "Dad, why is this happening? Didn't you say it would work?"

Ralph didn't say a word, just looked at the officer who had just walked in. "If you swear loyalty to me, I can give you money. Name your price."

The officer's face stayed blank.

Joseph no longer had the gun on Marigold but shoved her to the ground hard, saying calmly, "No matter how much cash you throw around, it won't help. Besides, are you sure you still have that much dough?"

"Of course." Ralph grabbed David next to him. "He's the richest guy in Madison. He's got all the money I need."

"That's right."

David gritted his teeth. At this point, he had to find a way out, no matter what.

After a pause, David suddenly smirked at Carl, "Mr. Carl Jude, I was also tricked by Ralph. From now on, I can pledge my loyalty to you. As long as you agree, I can pay billions in taxes to Madison every year. With me backing you in business, your position will be rock solid. You see, I'm way more useful than Joseph."

"David, how dare you betray me?" Ralph couldn't believe it and swung his fist at David.

David dodged and shoved Ralph to the ground. "Ralph, it's your own fault for being useless. Compared to Mr. Carl Jude, you're nothing."

"Bastard, if it weren't for me, would you be where you are today?" Ralph pointed at David's nose and cursed.

"I earned everything on my own." After saying this coldly, David turned to Carl, "You see, I control the Hernandez Group and the Wit Group, which can provide tens of thousands of jobs for the country. Besides, I only knew about Ralph's rebellion plan and didn't actually join in. It doesn't matter to me as a businessman who becomes President."

Carl looked at him with a teasing smile.

Michael couldn't take it anymore, "David, you're shameless. Do you think the Jude family is stupid? What did you say to Ralph before? He controls the political world, and you control the business world. You two are really something, thinking you can control Madison. And you have the nerve to say you didn't collude."

David grinned like a suck-up, "Mr. Michael Jude, I've got some serious pull in the business world. If the Jude family can let bygones be bygones, I can help elevate your status to a whole new level."

"David, don't you get why you lost?" Joseph suddenly stepped up, giving him a knowing look. "Ralph's confidence to rebel came from you because you could bankroll him endlessly. But did you ever wonder, after throwing so much cash around to buy people off, how the Jude family still managed to storm in without you getting a heads-up?"

David was floored. Realization hit him like a ton of bricks, and unease crept in.

"Because those people got some news today."

Michael sneered, "The Wit Group got globally blacklisted and boycotted today. Plus, Isabella's planning to cancel the stock transfer to Robert, and Lars got nabbed half an hour ago. Oh, and Robert and Helen are also getting busted for a massive fraud case. So, what do you have now? A Wit Group that's only got a domestic market?"

Derek chimed in, "Michael, Ralph's got shares in the Wit Group, and he's suspected of rebellion. We also suspect the Wit Group of shady dealings, so we have the right to shut down all its activities and revoke its registration. In other words, from today, there is no Wit Group."

"Is that so?" Michael said with a mocking smile. "So, David, you got nothing now. What can you offer to help the Jude family? Control the business world? Pah, you're a joke."

David's mind was spinning.

"Impossible!"

David shook his head like crazy, refusing to believe it, "Isabella can't cancel the stock transfer. She helped the Wit Group and saved the company. She wouldn't dare not help me."

He whipped out his phone to call Robert, telling him to find Isabella.

Everett was still in David's grip. If Isabella dared to cross him, he'd kill Everett.

"You don't need to find Isabella."

Joseph looked at his frantic state and cut in calmly, "Because Isabella already knows the truth."

"The truth?" David laughed like a madman, "She's lost it. What truth does she know?"

"So, in your eyes, I've always been someone who's lost it." Suddenly, a female voice cut through.

Carl and the others stepped aside, and Declan helped Isabella walk over. Isabella's eyes were blazing with anger as she glared at David.

Isabella never thought she'd be played by David for so long.

All because of David, Isabella hurt her own daughter and almost tore her family apart.

Behind Isabella was a young, frail figure—Everett.

Everett also glared at him with pure hatred.

David's legs turned to jelly, and he stumbled back, crashing into a chair.

Declan's eyes were ice-cold, "Did you think Everett was still in your hands, and you could use him to threaten Isabella?"

"How could he be out?" David roared, losing it.

He had his guy hide Everett in a place no one would expect—the busiest club in Silverwood. Who'd think to hide someone in such a crowded spot?
