Chapter 1065 Olivia Appeared
Cassie couldn't imagine what would happen once she forced a showdown with David.
"Also, your surveillance device is temporarily placed and not well hidden. It's soon discovered," Spencer reminded Cassie.
Peter nodded. "The most important is that if he notices it, he might pretend not to know anything and secretly start planning. You might become the next Joyce or Nina. I also think David might be filled with hatred towards you. He won't kill you right away but will make your fate worse than death. You may not be afraid of death, but Oliver and Sophia fear losing you."
"I agree with Peter." Spencer concurred. "David is very wary of you. Yesterday, as soon as the power went out, he rushed back immediately, which shows how vigilant he is. You can't gain his trust, and you shouldn't even try. I bet all he can think about now is how to torment you once he gets you."
Cassie rubbed her temples, feeling a headache. She had to admit they were right. "Alright, I'll talk to David about the divorce. His patience with me will only last until Sunday at most. I'll see if I can find out anything more in the next couple of days."
"Be careful. We'll be keeping an eye on David's villa these days. Notify us immediately if anything happens,"
In a five-star hotel, David stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, impeccably dressed in a suit, looking down at the view below.
He held a cigar in his hand, taking occasional puffs.
"What are you thinking about?" Megan, dressed in a bathrobe, came out of the bathroom and hugged him from behind.
"I'm not in the mood today," David said, pulling her hands away, his expression dark.
Megan curled her red lips into a smile. "Could it be that Mr. Foster is already exhausted?"
"Are you doubting me?" David took a puff of his cigar and blew smoke into her face. "If you're so lonely, why don't you find Michael?"
"Don't mention him." Megan pouted. "If he were half as ruthless as you, it would be great. Yesterday, I won the lawsuit, but he still came to criticize me. It almost drove me crazy. Who would want to give so much money back to Joseph?"
"Michael is easy to fool. There's no need to fall out with him. The Jude family might not completely cut ties with him." David glanced at Megan. "Aren't you good at hypnosis? I suspect Cassie is secretly investigating me. Can you alter her memory?"
Megan glanced at him and remarked, "Do you think altering memory is that easy? The success rate is very low, and Cassie must trust me. She hates me to the core and wouldn't let me hypnotize her willingly."
David furrowed his brows in frustration.
Megan looked at him nervously and then boldly said, "She has betrayed you time and again, and you still like her?"
"Sure." David smirked, his expression grim.
"Maybe you're so fixated on her just because you've never had her." Megan's hand teasingly caressed his chest. "I have an idea. Why not give her some aphrodisiac while she still doesn't know you suspect her. You can not only sleep with her but also record a video to threaten her. If she doesn't obey, you could send the video to others."
David pinched her chin. "You're really vicious."
"So are you." Megan smiled up at him. "If I were you, I would make her fate worse than death."
"You really understand me." David's eyes gleamed with a sinister light.
Originally, he didn't want to fall out with Cassie because she was still useful, but now he had to change his plans.
He once genuinely wanted to give her happiness, but since she was restless, he could only torment her slowly.
After leaving the hotel, he got into his car and found an international number in his contacts.
Soon, Olivia's seductive voice came through. "It's been three years, David. You finally contacted me again."
"Olivia, you should thank me. If I hadn't pleaded for you back then, Marcus might not have let you go. After all, you were already a useless pawn to him."
Olivia was silent for a moment, then sneered. "They say Marcus is deeply hidden, but I think you're the one who's hidden the deepest. You've been planning since three years ago. David, I've never seen anyone more ruthless than you. I heard Arthur is dead. Did you kill him?"
"You're not in the country, but you seem to know a lot." David's eyes darkened. "Olivia, don't you want to come back? Don't you want to avenge what happened back then? Don't forget who sold you to the nightclub to be abused. Although Cassie and Joseph are divorced, they're still living well, and you can't even return to the country."
"What do you want me to do?" Olivia quickly understood.
David chuckled and slowly said, "I'm giving you an opportunity, a chance to change your fate. You'll thank me."
In the evening, Cassie walked into the villa.
As soon as she entered, she saw David wearing an apron, poking his head out of the kitchen. "Just wait a bit longer. Dinner will be ready soon."
"Okay." Cassie walked over to the sofa and noticed David's phone on the table.
She felt nervous.
She really wanted to see if she could find any information about Olivia on his phone.
Yesterday, she discovered that Olivia had undergone plastic surgery to look like Joyce and David might have been involved. She realized that David might be in contact with Olivia.
Cassie hated Olivia as much as she hated Megan.
She went upstairs to change into some loungewear and came back down, only to find that David had already prepared the meal.
She sat down and started fiddling with her phone while eating. After a moment, she said to David, "Our company made an app, but I can't open it on my phone. Let me try yours to see if it's my phone's problem or the app's."
"Sure." David unlocked his phone and handed it to her with a smile.
Cassie was surprised at how easy it was.
She pretended to download the app and quickly opened his messages.
However, after searching for a while, she found nothing.
"Did you find it?" David suddenly got up and walked towards her.
Cassie quickly switched back to the app download screen and said, "Yours can open it."
As soon as she said that, she froze. She remembered that David had just said "Did you find it?"
She looked up and met David's eyes, which were as deep as an abyss.
