Chapter 727
Megan felt really down; she looked like an employee.
"No, she's my fiancée," Joseph explained.
"Hello," Sophia sweetly greeted immediately.
Megan smiled and said, "Joseph, I didn't expect you to like kids so much. It looks like we need to have one soon."
"Okay," Joseph responded flatly, "Maybe because this child looks like me a lot."
"It's okay. Our future children will look more like you," Megan laughed happily.
Sophia lowered her gaze, a disappointed expression as she tightly grabbed Joseph's sleeve. "Will you have kids and then not like me anymore?"
Fear and disappointment filled Sophia's dark eyes. The heart inexplicably pulled.
Joseph whispered to her, "No, even if I have children in the future, I will still like Sophia very much."
"Thank you," Sophia kissed him on the cheek.
Megan's face stiffened. Although Sophia was only a little over two years old, she instinctively disliked the little girl.
Moreover, Joseph was so gentle with her, something he never showed towards Megan.
"Joseph, we should..."
"Is this your lunch?" Suddenly, Sophia exclaimed.
"Yes." Joseph looked at the little one with expectant eyes and raised an eyebrow. "Are you hungry? Do you want to eat?"
"Okay." Sophia started eating with a spoon. After a few bites, she frowned, "It tastes so bad, not as good as my mom's cooking."
Megan almost twisted her face and nose. She couldn't believe Sophia had found her food to be not tasty.
Joseph, however, didn't pay much attention. After all, he deeply empathized with Sophia's words. In fact, he also found it not tasty. "Is your mom's cooking very delicious?"
"Yeah, my mom's cooking is always yummy."
Somehow, Joseph suddenly thought of the steak Cassie made. Although he had only eaten it once, he still remembered the taste.
He was sure Sophia would like it, too.
"I suddenly miss my mom's cooking." Sophia suddenly teared up, tears falling.

"But I miss her so much, really miss her." Sophia cried even more painfully.
Facing a crying child for the first time, Joseph felt a sense of panic and helplessness.
He could only look to Megan for help. But Megan had never dealt with children before, and she disliked Sophia.
After hesitating, she could only say, "Why don't you take her to find her mom? Children always need to be in contact with their mothers."

But little did she know, after hearing this, Sophia cried even louder.
Annoyed, Joseph glared at Megan and angrily said, "Her mom has passed away."
Megan was being scolded and teared up. "How was I supposed to know."
But Joseph only heard Sophia's crying in his ears now, with no time to deal with her.
"You go back first." He picked up Sophia and walked towards the company kitchen.
Megan felt neglected and was very angry.
