"I have something to do now. We can meet at Velvet Elegance Bistro at 9 PM."
Julia's calm voice came through the phone.
Elliott almost smashed the phone in his palm. He hated Julia's calm and natural demeanor more than anything in his life.
Even when they broke up, she was indifferent like this.
"Goodbye."
The call ended.
Elliott frowned deeply, his eyes full of anger.
Yet, he could only take a deep breath.
This matter had to be resolved no matter what.
Originally, he planned to fly to Austin. Elliott informed the company to pause the plan and rushed back to Whisperlyn City first.
He arrived in Whisperlyn City at 8 PM.
He hurried to Velvet Elegance Bistro.
"Mr. Miller, this is the private room Julia reserved."
The waiter led him to a room by the pool.
Inside, there was a tea room, a sofa, and a dining table.
He sat for a while, and there was a noise at the door. Thinking it was Julia, he turned around to see the waiter bringing in some fruits and dishes.
"These were arranged by Julia."
The waiter carefully placed the food on the table.
Elliott's pupils fell on the dishes, a complex look flashing in his eyes.
These were some of the dishes they often ate abroad.
What exactly was Julia planning?
However, he hadn't eaten much all day, and he had no appetite on the plane. Now, seeing these colorful dishes, his stomach couldn't help but growl.
Although he didn't want to touch the food Julia prepared, there was no need to starve himself.
Elliott began to eat.
After he put down the bowl, the heavy wooden door was pushed open.
Julia walked in from outside, wearing a new season's black bodycon dress suit, paired with high heels, her long hair reaching her shoulders, her makeup light and elegant, her brows and eyes clear and determined. Having been in a high position for many years, she exuded an undeniable noble elegance.
Their eyes met.
Elliott's eyes were filled with suppressed anger. "Did you tamper with AustinCascade Industries Group?"
On the way here, he thought a lot.
The only one who could reach abroad was her.
First, she made Cascade Industries Group terminate the contract with the Miller Group, then cut off Horizon Technologies Group's cooperation. These two big companies were crucial partners for the Miller Group's future development. The Miller Group had invested most of its funds in expansion. And all of this was done by the Julia in front of him.
Julia glanced at the half-eaten food on the table, her gaze softening slightly before she sat down at the tea table and nodded lightly. "Yes."
"Why did you do this?"

A ridiculous reason flashed through his mind. "You did all this because I'm getting married?"
"You can't marry Isadora." Julia pursed her delicate lips and said, "Marry me, and I'll let the Miller Group go."
As soon as she finished speaking, Elliott grabbed her arm and yanked her up from the chair.
Her head unexpectedly hit his hard chest, causing pain.
But before she could react, Elliott's cold words fell mercilessly. "Julia, you're the president of the Jude Group. I've never seen someone like you forcing a man to marry you. Are you that desperate for a man, that shameless?"
He was truly furious.
Once, when their relationship was at its best, and they decided to return home to discuss marriage, she said no and meant it.
Now, when he wanted to start a new life, she used despicable means to pull him back.
Elliott had been proud all his life, but all the humiliation he endured came from her.
He was a person, not a dog.
