Chapter 1097 The Neglected Joseph

Michael thought to himself, 'Wait a minute! Lobster?'

He endured the intense pain and looked up. "Lucas, call Joseph again. Laura is pregnant, and she can't eat lobster."

Lucas was speechless. "Didn't you already decide not to keep the baby? Why do you care?"

Michael was choked for a long time, his face turning red. "The baby in her belly is mine."

" You dragged her to abort your baby," Lucas reminded him calmly.

"Lucas." Michael raised his voice, but the pain made him black out and almost faint.

After a long time, he regained his senses and said, "What right do you have to talk about me? No matter how bad I am, I'm not as bad as you."

"You're mistaken. I never goof around with women who love me.' Lucas gave him a particularly heartless look. 'The women who are with me usually want my money. We each get what we need."

"If you have the guts, don't fall in love with anyone. Then you'll understand the pain Joseph and I are going through." Michael glared at him weakly for a while. "Call Joseph again and tell him not to let Laura eat too much lobster, at most just one, and make sure it's cleaned properly."

"Do you want Joseph to scold me?" Lucas turned and walked towards the door. 'You seem to be in a good situation., so I'm leaving."

"How come? Can't you see I'm in pain? Don't go," Michael cried out miserably, but Lucas only left him with a cold back.

Michael sighed in frustration. He didn't expect that after being beaten like this, no one from the Jude family would care about him.

At Riverside Blossom, Joseph's hands and back ached from scrubbing lobsters.

After finally cleaning the last one, he went out to find Cassie.

In the living room, Laura and Cassie were eating fruit and watching a variety show, laughing.

"Did you see that? How can Francis Murphy be so handsome?" Laura's eyes were shining.

"Yeah, he's so handsome." Cassie also stared at Francis without blinking.

Joseph took a deep breath. If it were his old self, he would have turned off the TV immediately, but now he could only stand silently in front of Cassie.

Cassie looked up and saw his delicate face full of displeasure.

"Cassie, all the lobsters are cleaned," Joseph reminded her in a low voice.

Cassie checked the time and waved her hand. 'I'll cook them later. Move aside, and let me finish this part."

"No way. Is he better looking than me?' Joseph showed her his most handsome profile. "Is he taller than me? Does he have a better body than me? Does he have more abs than me?"

Cassie was helpless when she saw Joseph standing coolly in front of her with his hands in his pockets.

Laura held back her laughter. "Mr. Hernandez, Cassie changes her favorite movie star every year. No matter how handsome, she'll get tired of them eventually."

"Tired?' Joseph sneered. "A star with only looks and no substance will naturally become tiresome over time."

Joseph was implying that he was different and had substance.

Cassie laughed. "Falling for Megan, you indeed have substance."

Laura burst out laughing at Joseph's frozen face.

"Don't laugh at me." Joseph glanced at Laura indifferently. "At least I know how to wake up and turn back. Michael won't even wake up; he only turns back after being abandoned."

Laura couldn't laugh anymore. She glared at Joseph. 'What do you mean by that? Are you saying I can't even compare to Megan? Is that my fault? You guys only like women like Megan."

"Stop arguing. I'll go cook the lobsters." Cassie stood up helplessly.

"Cassie, I'll help you." Joseph quickly followed her.

He deeply realized that a pregnant Laura was too unpredictable, and it was best not to provoke her.

In the kitchen, Cassie was surprised to see the lobsters cleaned so thoroughly.

"Cassie, do you need me to do anything for you?" Joseph asked eagerly.

"No, thanks," Cassie replied.

While she was washing the pot, Joseph watched her from the side. His hands had many small cuts, and there was a long cut on his index finger.

Cassie glanced at it and quickly looked away.

As Cassie struggled to open a can of butter, Joseph immediately took it from her. "Let me handle things like this."

He opened the can of butter in a few moves.

Cassie thought that calling him over today might have been the right decision.

While cooking the lobsters, Joseph stood by and silently watched her.

"Don't just stand here. Go outside." Cassie felt uncomfortable being stared at.

"Why should I go out? I'm not familiar with Laura; we have nothing to talk about," Joseph said indifferently, "Cassie, was Francis more handsome than me? I don't believe it."

Cassie didn't want to answer him, but Joseph persisted, "Tell me, who's more handsome?"

"Joseph, are you being childish?' Cassie complained weakly.

Joseph frowned deeply. "Do you really like TV stars and think they're handsome? If so, I can use my spare time to start acting. Becoming a movie star shouldn't be a problem for me."

Cassie was stunned. "Are you kidding me?"

"I'm not." Joseph frowned. 'Lucas has several film companies. It's easy for me to debut. Don't doubt it; when I used to go to bars, many film companies wanted to sign me."

"Come on, your reputation is already so bad, and you're a dad now. If anyone should be a star, it's Oliver." Cassie didn't want to discourage him.

"I just had some issues with my love life. It's not like I owe money, commit domestic violence, or break the law," Joseph said lazily, "Francis is much worse than me behind the scenes."
