Chapter 1100 Are You Getting Back Together With Me?
Cassie and Joseph were both wearing pajamas.
Cassie’s face was pressed against his chest, and his body heat seeped through the fabric, making her face gradually warm up.
Fortunately, the room lights were off, so her expression couldn’t be seen.
Joseph’s heart was pounding nervously; he thought Cassie would push him away like before, but this time she didn’t.
“Cassie.” His throat felt dry, and his voice was incredibly hoarse.
“What?” Cassie looked up.
Joseph couldn’t hold back any longer and leaned down to kiss her, asking, “Where did the potion come from?”
“I asked Rosalind for it.” Her soft voice came out from between their close lips.
Joseph’s heart felt as soft as cotton. “Cassie, I knew it. You still care about me.”
After saying that, he kissed her again without hesitation.
Cassie felt a bit dizzy, thinking, ’Do I still care about him?’
She had asked Rosalind for it after seeing the injury on his hand.
She also knew he would definitely sneak in at midnight, so she had been waiting here.
Before, Cassie really wanted to cut ties with Joseph completely, but after what happened with David, she was scared.
She would rather never get married again than get to know another man.
For the sake of Oliver and Sophia, Cassie thought she should give Joseph a chance.
However, that was all it would be because Cassie wouldn’t get married again.
As she was lost in thought, her lips suddenly hurt, and Joseph looked at her with displeasure. “You were distracted while I was kissing you.”
Cassie blinked and then pulled her hand out from under her clothes.
Joseph smiled and explained, “I couldn’t help myself.”
“Go back to your room to sleep,” Cassie said softly.
“I don’t want to.” Joseph held her, kissing her hair. “Tell me, am I dreaming?”
Joseph had made so many mistakes and didn’t expect Cassie to forgive him easily. He was prepared to pester her forever, but tonight, she was lying so obediently in his arms.
“Stop it. Go to sleep,” Cassie teased, “If you aroused my desire, can you satisfy me?”
Joseph was so stimulated that he coughed, but he had to admit she had a point. “Cassie, isn’t what you said too blunt?”
“I’m telling the truth,” Cassie said seriously, “Joseph, considering your current condition, I’m only thinking about getting back together for the sake of Sophia and Oliver.”
“Are you getting back together with me?” Joseph was stunned, his whole body in a daze.
“So, can you go back to sleep now?” Cassie said in a helpless tone, “I hope you still restrain yourself. After all, I haven’t divorced David yet.”
“Okay, I got it. I promise to get you divorced from David as soon as possible.” Joseph happily kissed her forehead. “Cassie, I love you. I promise I won’t make the same mistakes again. No one can separate us anymore.”
“Then I told you to go back to your room to sleep, and you’re still not going.” Cassie poked his chest, her tone soft.
Joseph’s Adam’s apple moved. He could have kicked himself.
“Okay, I’ll go back to sleep.” A few seconds later, he reluctantly let go of her, returning to the next room with a mix of regret, joy, and sweetness.
Cassie exhaled, finally able to get a good night’s sleep.
However, thinking about Joseph’s expression just now, she found it funny.
The next day, when Sophia and Oliver woke up, they were very surprised.
“I thought Joseph would sneak in again at midnight, but he didn’t this time,” Oliver said in astonishment.
Sophia snorted, “As the door was locked, how could he get in?”
Oliver didn’t think locking the door would stop someone like Joseph.
“Alright, darlings, go wash your face and brush your teeth,” Cassie coaxed Sophia and Oliver to wash up.
Downstairs, Joseph was already in the kitchen helping Rosalind prepare breakfast.
However, during breakfast, Mildred glanced at Joseph in the kitchen and said disdainfully, “Why is he joining in? The breakfast he makes sucks.”
“Exactly, the pasta he made last time was almost inedible,” Walter also criticized unceremoniously.
Sophia and Oliver directly told Rosalind, “Rosalind, we’ll eat what you make, not what Joseph makes.”
Cassie tried hard to hold back her laughter.
Joseph’s cooking wasn’t that bad, especially compared to Rosalind’s, which made his food completely unappealing.
Rosalind smiled at Sophia and Oliver, “Don’t worry. Joseph didn’t make your food. He’s just making his love sandwiches.”
As soon as Rosalind finished speaking, everyone looked at Cassie with ambiguous eyes.
Cassie felt completely embarrassed. “Maybe he made them for Sophia and Oliver.”
“We don’t want them.” Sophia and Oliver shook their heads in unison.
Just then, Joseph came out with a sandwich. “Cassie, I made this for you. Try it.”
He placed the sandwich in front of her with a look of anticipation, and next to the sandwich was a heart-shaped egg.
Sophia was surprised. “Why is the egg heart-shaped? It’s the first time I’ve seen that.”
Joseph smiled. “When you grow up, someone will make it for you, too.”
Sophia was puzzled. “Why do I have to wait until I grow up?”
Mildred laughed. “You’re too young to understand.”
Oliver frowned, looking at Joseph without saying a word.
“Cassie, have a try,” Joseph said.
Facing the Hernandez family’s gazes, Cassie had to eat it. The taste was just okay, but she preferred Rosalind’s breakfast.
However, after eating Joseph’s sandwich, she was full.
“Is it good?” Joseph smiled. “I’ll make it for you tomorrow.”
Mabel laughed. "If you say that, Cassie might not dare to come tomorrow."
“Mom.” Joseph glared at her.
“Are you too confident in your cooking skills?” Mabel teased. " Your cooking skills are as bad as mine; you have no talent at all.”
“Don’t compare me to you,” Joseph retorted, then said to Cassie, “Cassie, don’t listen to my mom.”
Cassie took a sip of coffee to calm herself. “I appreciate it, but next time, I’ll just have Rosalind’s breakfast, so you don’t need to go to the trouble.”
