Chapter 730
In the back seat, Cassie was whispering to Sophia, "Aren't you afraid of exposing your identity?"
"No, they all believe I'm Liam's daughter," Sophia whispered, "That malicious woman came to the company to see Joseph in the morning. I didn't like her, so I tricked him out. I avenged you."
Cassie felt a bit helpless but couldn't help but feel happy inside.
Her daughter was really clever.
"Alright, stay away from that woman. You're still young and don't understand how some people can be terribly bad. I don't want to lose you."
"No, Joseph likes me a lot. I will make sure he likes me more than that bad woman," Sophia said firmly.
Cassie looked at her seriously and asked, "Sophia, do you really like Joseph?"
"He's okay, good-looking," Sophia said, looking very fond of him.
Cassie: "Speechless."
Well, her daughter's type of man was just like hers, only caring about looks and not qualities. She would have to educate her well in the future.
At the supermarket, Cassie took a cart to lift Sophia and sit in it.
However, Sophia was too heavy, and after trying to lift her for a while, she couldn't get her in. It was when Joseph reached out, took her steadily, and easily put Sophia in the cart.
She glanced at his arms. Joseph noticed and smirked, "Men are stronger."
Cassie smiled, "Yes, strong indeed; otherwise, you wouldn't have pushed me down in one go."
The smile at the corner of Joseph's mouth gradually faded.
He knew she was referring to three years ago when he pushed her down, and then the child was lost.
His expression turned cold.
Sophia asked in confusion, "Why did you push Cassie? Did you know each other before?"
"More than knowing, we were very familiar with each other," Cassie said meaningfully.
"I see. You used to date," Sophia suddenly realized.
Cassie was stunned.
Joseph didn't dare to continue the conversation with them, quickly looked around, and changed the subject, "Where can we buy steaks?"
"There's chocolate. I want it," Sophia suddenly pointed ahead.
"No, you'll get cavities." Cassie refused outright.
"I want to buy chocolate." Sophia acted cute towards Joseph.
"Okay, it's fine to have it occasionally." Joseph indulged her unconditionally.
Cassie had a headache; she felt they would definitely spoil Sophia.
After buying groceries, they returned to Cassie's home.
As Joseph stepped in, he saw that all the furniture inside had changed—the TV, air conditioner, sofa, refrigerator, and even things in the kitchen.
He knew Nathan had smashed her home, but he didn't expect it to be so completely. "All the furniture here has changed?"
"Otherwise, even the wallpaper has changed. Everything is unusable." Cassie glanced at him coldly.
After a moment of silence, Joseph took out a bank card from his pocket and handed it over. "How much did you spend to compensate you."
He thought she might refuse, but Cassie took it.
"It's what should be compensated," Cassie said, "He's in jail but hasn't paid a penny. You really should talk to Zenith's Family, and they are so rude."
