Megan was absolutely furious.
Megan never expected that this emotional substitute, Michael, would be so engrossed in a meeting that he forgot about her.
Didn't Michael always value her so much before? Whenever she said a word, no matter how busy or far away he was, he would rush to her first.
Let alone in the evening, he didn't keep the appointment with Megan because of Laura.
But Megan couldn't say anything. She could only pretend to be gentle and magnanimous, saying, "It's okay. How did your talk with Laura?"
"It's smooth. But Laura proposed to take ten percent of Ocean Blue Group's shares," Michael said helplessly. "I just discussed it with the executives. Everyone thinks this plan is feasible. If we can tie Laura to Ocean Blue Group, it's worth it."
"Ten percent?" Megan's voice involuntarily rose. "Laura is too greedy, and you agree to this?"
"There's no way, but after our company repackages the new product. I believe Ocean Blue Group's market value will increase," Michael explained.
Megan really wanted to curse Michael as a "stupid pig." But Megan could only stand it, although she was extremely angry inside.
After hanging up the phone, Megan immediately called Nathan.
Upon hearing about the situation, Nathan also became hateful, scolding, "Mr. Jude must have been brainwashed by that bitch Laura. How dare she get 10% of Ocean Blue Group's shares? She's not even worthy of giving them to you."
Thinking that the Zenith family was only worth a little over two million, Nathan suddenly felt that Laura's value was almost catching up to his. He was very unwilling. To him, Laura was just a woman from a small town of Madison who couldn't be seen in public.
"Nathan, I can't take it anymore. Find an opportunity for me to deal with Laura," Megan bellowed and gritted her teeth. "and then I'll handle Cassie."
"Don't worry, I've never let go of Laura either. I plan to finish what I didn't accomplish three years ago," Nathan suddenly smirked and answered. "It just so happens that if Laura becomes a shareholder of Ocean Blue Group, then marrying Laura shouldn't be a loss for me."
"Are you saying...?" Megan's eyes lit up, and she said, "That's a good idea. I heard that the Miller family's business has been growing rapidly in recent years, almost catching up to the Zenith family. Marrying Laura would kill two birds with one stone, but can you nail it?"
"Don't worry. I have plenty of despicable means," Nathan chuckled.
Megan nodded in satisfaction and warned, "But now that Joseph isn't there to clean up after you, please don’t do anything illegal."
"I know," Nathan said. "By the way, how do you plan to deal with Cassie?"
"Don't worry. I have a plan," she then assured.
The next day, Laura received a call from Michael, agreeing to her request.
That afternoon, Laura, in a good mood, invited Cassie out for dinner.
"Your decision is right." Cassie smiled and raised her glass to Laura. "After all, Ocean Blue Group is a big company in Whisperlyn City. If you want to establish yourself in Madison, this is an opportunity."
Laura chuckled softly, "In the end, I have to deal with Nathan. And if I join Ocean Blue Group, Megan will definitely be very angry."
"Definitely," Cassie imagined the scene and chuckled. "After all, she now sees Michael as an emotional substitute."
"Forget it. I'm afraid Megan is still thinking about Joseph. Michael has already been disqualified as the heir of the Jude family. Megan would never willingly marry Michael, I don't believe it," Laura replied and shook her head, suddenly feeling emotional. "Actually, Michael is quite foolish. If I had a man who liked me unconditionally, I might marry him."
Cassie was shocked and quickly choked on her water, asking, "Don't scare me. You're not falling for Michael, are you?"
