Chapter 595

Atlas lowered his voice, a hint of concern lacing his words. "Big Brother, my worry is that once Luna takes on the role of CEO, she won't possess any shares. This could potentially make it difficult for her to assert authority over her employees," he confessed. "Rumors are circulating that the other shareholders are discontented. After all, both the president and the CEO hail from our family."

Leo Chapman regarded his brother with a peculiar expression. "Atlas, if I were to allocate shares to Luna, it would signify entrusting the future of Leo's Group to her. Are you genuinely prepared to continue supporting Luna in this endeavor?"

Atlas offered a calm smile, his eyes radiating sincerity. "Brother, you are my kin, my flesh and blood. You've cared for me since childhood. I could never dispute such matters with you. I have no offspring of my own, hence I've always considered Luna as my daughter," he explained. "I pledge to assist her wholeheartedly in the future, propelling our family to greater heights."

Leo Chapman, visibly moved, placed a hand on Atlas' shoulder. "Thank you," he murmured. "Truth be told, my health has been deteriorating over the years. I will entrust Leo's Group to you all."

Atlas nodded solemnly. "It's my duty."

As Atlas concluded his statement, a sudden uproar erupted at the entrance.

"Joseph is here!" someone shouted.

Joseph, the current head of the Hernandez family, was once a normal guy.

He was impeccably dressed in a tailored black double-breasted suit, a sky-blue shirt, and a bowtie. His attire, coupled with his handsome visage, rendered him a sight to behold, taking the breath away from those who glanced his way.

The banquet lights illuminated Joseph's face.

Despite the passage of years, Joseph had only grown more radiant, his natural aura intensifying.

Luna, standing not too far away, found herself entranced by him.

No matter how many times she laid eyes on him, Luna never grew weary of the sight.

Her gaze shifted to Felix, also clad in a black suit. Despite his rising status over the years, Felix's aura paled in comparison to Joseph's noble air.

"Darling, what has caught your attention?" Felix inquired, a sardonic smile playing on his lips and his eyebrows arched in curiosity. He was irked by the fact that despite his relentless efforts over the years, Joseph, a natural-born business prodigy, always outshone him. Felix always fell a step behind Joseph, who never failed to steal the limelight wherever he went.

"I'm merely curious as to why Joseph is present," Luna responded, her hand entwined with his.

Felix's eyes narrowed. "It could be related to Cassie, his ex-wife. He did attend your father's 50th birthday last time."

Luna shook her head. "My father was far from welcoming towards him last time. Rumor has it that Cassie was driven to her demise by him and Megan," she said, a shudder running through her at the thought. She felt a surge of gratitude for not having married Joseph back then.

"I must admit, I admire Joseph's audacity," Felix smirked. When it came to ruthlessness towards women, he couldn't hold a candle to Joseph.

Meanwhile, Leo Chapman noticed Joseph, and his face darkened.

Joseph, however, feigned ignorance and approached him, his voice low and mellow. "Mr. Chapman, I am here today to extend my congratulations to Leo's Group on its 30th anniversary. Please accept this small token from me."

As Joseph finished speaking, Nathaniel presented a hefty gift.

Leo Chapman glared at Joseph, his chest rising and falling with suppressed anger. "Joseph, I want you out of here."
