Chapter 1355 This Is Not a Dream

Cassie's hand was soft. It didn't hurt; it felt more like Cassie was just playing around.

Joseph's Adam's apple bobbed as he grabbed her wrist. "Come on, it's late. Don't mess with me."

Cassie thought, 'How am I messing with him?' She looked up and met his intense gaze. She shoved him away, "Pervert!" she snapped, then pulled up the blanket and lay down. Joseph lay down beside her, wrapping his arm around her waist over the blanket.

"Get off, go crash on the couch," Cassie pushed him.

They had just made up, and now they were already sharing a bed. It made Cassie feel weak. She should at least hold out for a week, or Laura would give her grief again.

"No way, the couch is too short. I won't sleep well," Joseph said, holding onto Cassie and refusing to let go.

Cassie pretended to get up. "Fine, I'll sleep on the couch then."

"No," Joseph quickly stopped her, his tired eyes filled with helplessness. "I'll take the couch." With that, he reluctantly went to the couch.

The couch was indeed short. His tall frame curled up on it, with half a leg hanging off. He didn't even have a blanket, just a pillow covering his stomach.

Cassie suddenly felt bad for him and softened a bit. "Is there no other blanket in the room?"

Joseph shook his head and yawned. "Just go to sleep." He quickly dozed off after speaking.

Cassie rubbed her slightly messy hair and thought, 'Everyone's pretty wiped out. I made him sleep on the couch 'cause I was worried he'd bug me, but now I feel kinda petty. And what if he catches a cold without a blanket? But it's too awkward to call him back to bed.' She thought for a moment and quietly turned up the air conditioning before falling asleep. She didn't know how long she had slept when she felt a wave of heat on her body, even the other person's breathing was a bit labored.

Cassie had a dream.

In the dream, she went back to when she and Joseph were crazy in love, and every time they got close, they wanted to make love. A surge of desire suddenly welled up, and she couldn't help but let out a few soft moans. She reached out in her daze, seemingly hugging a familiar body. Then a sharp pain on her lips jolted her. Cassie opened her eyes, confused.

The first thing she saw was Joseph's long eyebrows and thick eyelashes. Joseph was kissing her gently but fervently. Her skin, exposed to the air, turned a faint pink. What shocked her even more was that her arms were wrapped around Joseph's neck. Cassie was stunned and slowly came to realize: this wasn't a dream. Joseph was kissing her while she was asleep.

"Joseph, you jerk." Cassie came to her senses and angrily lifted her head, biting him hard.

"Cassie, I just wanted to kiss you. You looked so cute while you were sleeping."

Ignoring the pain, Joseph kissed her again, clinging to her. They were on the same bed, with almost no clothes on. This was not only a test for Joseph but also for Cassie. Cassie never thought she would have such needs, but every time she faced Joseph, she seemed to be easily aroused.

"Joseph, get off," she half-pushed.

"Just one more kiss, Cassie. You smell so good, I really like you."

Joseph's rough voice kept echoing in her ear, making her lose focus every time. She knew a man's words might not be trustworthy, but his voice always had a magic. By the time she realized she had been tricked, it was too late. When things finally quieted down, it was already ten in the morning. Cassie was almost in tears when she came to her senses. She thought, 'I had promised to maintain my pride for a week. Howam I giving in after just one day?'

She looked at Joseph, who was holding her, with tears in her eyes. "Joseph, you tricked me. I hate you." She angrily pounced on him and bit his shoulder.

Joseph didn't move, letting her bite him, even if it drew blood. He just patted her head. "Alright, bite as long as it makes you feel better."

Cassie tasted blood. She wanted to bite him hard, but she couldn't.

Seeing her lying still on him, Joseph chuckled softly and picked her up. "I'll take you to shower."

"No, I'll go myself." Cassie blushed and struggled.

"Are you sure you can still walk?" Joseph raised an eyebrow.

Cassie was silent.

Her face turned bright red. She felt humiliated by Joseph. "Who says I can't walk?"

"Try it." Joseph put her on the carpet.

Cassie's legs gave out as soon as she moved, and she nearly fell.

Fortunately, Joseph was prepared and quickly caught her, his low laughter echoing in her ears. Cassie was utterly embarrassed. Joseph carried her directly into the bathroom. What should have taken twenty minutes ended up taking over an hour. Cassie was carried out again and quickly fell asleep once back in bed. When she woke up again, it was already 2 PM. She stared blankly at the ceiling, utterly convinced Joseph's erectile dysfunction was completely cured and even better than before.

"Cassie, you must be hungry. I made you some curry rice," Joseph said, bringing over the food. "This hotel's curry rice is quite good."

Cassie struggled to sit up, looking expressionlessly at Joseph.

Unlike the disheveled Cassie, Joseph was already dressed neatly. Black pants paired with a khaki jacket, a white shirt underneath, and his bangs styled up, revealing a smooth forehead. He looked very handsome.

"What's wrong?" Joseph asked nervously, seeing her cold gaze. "Do you not like curry?"

"Or were you not satisfied with my performance during sex?" Joseph asked anxiously.

After all, in his memory, it was their first time making love, and he was afraid he hadn't performed well.

"Get out." Cassie was mortified.

She seriously thought he was doing it on purpose, as if mocking her for giving in and making love with him.

"Did I do something wrong?" Joseph looked innocent.

"You still dare to ask me that?" Cassie glared at him angrily. "You're shameless, kissing me while I was asleep and making love to me. Your behavior is so disappointing, Joseph. You're a scoundrel."

Joseph blinked. "Cassie, I admit I was too impulsive today, but I didn't do it on purpose. You are so charming, and I'm just a normal man. This morning, you looked so cute sleeping that I couldn't help but kiss you. Then you hugged me and responded."
