Chapter 792

Cassie was furious.

Damn it. He only treated her as a cooking tool from start to finish. How did she ever fall in love with that jerk Joseph?

Oh well, she decided to endure it for the sake of her plan.

Cassie closed her eyes, put on an apron, and efficiently started cooking.

Joseph sat in the living room watching TV. Occasionally, he glanced back at the busy figure in the kitchen, feeling warm inside.

When Joseph was alone here before, he felt empty, like something was missing. Now, he realized it was the absence of a woman.

This feeling was something he had never experienced even when living in Seaside Haven, despite having Megan and Emerson, who cooked there.

After an hour and a half, Cassie finally finished cooking the fried spare ribs and grilled meat. Her hands were numb from fatigue, and her stomach was growling.

When Joseph walked in, he noticed that she had prepared not only fried spare ribs and grilled meat but also salad.

Joseph's handsome brows immediately furrowed. "Didn't I say we were only making fried ribs and barbecue?"

Cassie glared at Joseph angrily. "Joseph, just having fried spare ribs and grilled meat is unhealthy and can make you sick. Take care of yourself."

Joseph was taken aback.

Meeting Cassie's bright angry eyes, Joseph felt warm inside. His sexy lips curled up slightly, showing a hint of pleasure. "Are you concerned about me?"

Cassie sighed. "Joseph, this is common sense. Please care about it."

"I didn’t plan to eat them all at once," Joseph suddenly complained. "I was going to put some in the fridge to for later."
"Well, you still shouldn't eat like that."

"Fine. I won't eat them. I'll listen to you." Joseph's burning gaze fixed on Cassie, looking like a well-behaved Akita dog.

Cassie looked away, preparing to eat. She hadn't finished her dinner before being dragged away, and now she was starving.

But it was all meat and ribs, making it hard for her to enjoy. However, Joseph was different; he enjoyed the meal, although the fried spare ribs and grilled meat were the best. The salad this time was alright, too.

After finishing, Joseph put the leftovers in the fridge. As he turned around, he saw Cassie sitting there playing with her phone, with the tableware still needing to be cleaned up.

"The dishes need to be washed..." Joseph reminded softly by tapping on the table.

Cassie raised her head from her phone, glaring at Joseph.

Joseph explained, "There's no maid at home, and no one else will do this."

Cassie chuckled.

If life could start over, Cassie felt more and more like a fool for falling in love with Joseph.

"Joseph, you don't need a woman. Stay single for life." Cassie stood up directly and left, finding even a glance annoying.
