Chapter 1155 I Fell in Love with Her at First Sight
Cassie brushed off Everett's hand and strolled over. In a few quick moves, she grabbed the sticks from the punks and kicked them away.
Everett was stunned, thinking, 'She's gorgeous, tall, and fights like it's an art form. Plus, she broke their hands without a second thought.'
"You'll probably get caught, locked up for a few days, and then rob again. Better to cripple your hands. Go home and recover for a few months. Let's see you rob then. Get lost," Cassie said calmly. The thugs, terrified of her beauty, scrambled away.
"Thanks." Everett walked over, a sly look in his eyes. "Good thing you saved me. Being new here, I would've definitely been robbed."
"You look about twenty," Cassie sized him up.
"I'm twenty-one." Everett looked at her, surprised. "Are you older than me?"
"I'm a few years older." Cassie glanced at the bag in his hand, filled with carnations.
She thought, 'He must've bought all the carnations. The watch and pendant he's wearing are worth millions. No wonder he was targeted.'
"This is Silverwood's old street. Good and bad people live here. Don't wander around dressed like that. Go back early." Cassie turned to leave.
"I don't even know who you are," Everett quickly caught up.
Cassie ignored him and walked away.
Everett stood there for a moment, thinking, 'She's really interesting.'
He stretched his legs and left. After getting in the car, Everett got a call from Isabella, "Everett, did you sneak off to Madison early?"
"Mom, I just got to Silverwood last night," Everett laughed. "I came early to check out your hometown. Once everything's set up, you and Dad can move in. This morning, I visited Robert and Helen and found out where Grandparents' graves are. Planning to visit them later."
Isabella, forgetting to scold him, asked after a pause, "How are Robert and Helen?"
"Not great. They've aged a lot after prison. Robert still looks like you," Everett said. "Just to be safe, I asked around near the Brooks Villa. There was a Brooks family here, and they had a daughter named Isabella who had an accident by the sea over twenty years ago. Robert had two daughters, Cassie and Olivia. Robert raised Cassie, and Olivia was kidnapped but later found."
"Do you think Olivia's lying?" Isabella frowned. "The paternity test confirmed she's my daughter."
"I know," Everett said. "Mom, I've been in Silverwood less than a day and already met a stunning beauty who rivals your younger self. She's the most beautiful girl I've seen besides you. You're beautiful too, but not young anymore."
"How dare you say that? I'll kick your ass." Declan's angry voice suddenly came through.
Everett's hand shook, not expecting Declan to be listening. "Dad, I was wrong. That girl is just a bit less beautiful than Mom. I think I fell in love at first sight."
Isabella, drinking water, was so shocked she spat it out and started coughing.
"Honey, are you okay?" Declan quickly patted Isabella's back and yelled into the phone, "Everett, are you looking for trouble? Sneaking off to Madison and forgetting what you're supposed to do?"
"Dad, I didn't forget. I just happened to meet that girl, and she saved me." Everett laughed. "I think I understand how you felt when you met Mom. But she's a few years older than me. You wouldn't mind, right?"
"Everett, if you date an older woman, I'll break your legs," Declan warned. "Your status isn't ordinary. The woman you marry must be of significant status. Don't even think about it."
"Fine, I was just kidding. I don't even know her name or number," Everett pouted.
"Get Robert and Helen out soon so your mom can see them when she arrives," Declan said before hanging up.
Meanwhile, Cassie drove straight to the cemetery.
The cemetery was twenty miles outside Silverwood.
Nevaeh and Natalie's graves were together. After visiting them, Cassie went to see Isabella's grave.
