Chapter 1710 "Julia, are you out of your mind?"
Julia looked at Elliott helplessly, her lips moved slightly, "This is Garth, we're just colleagues."
Julia's few words completely shattered Garth's mindset.
She explained to Elliott.
This meant she acknowledged being married.
Garth's fist clenched tightly under the table. He had considered the possibility of countless suitors around Julia becoming his rivals, but he never thought that one day Julia would marry some random man.
He couldn't accept it at all.
Just yesterday, he was still fantasizing about marrying Julia, having a child, and maybe even changing the Jude family name to the Tovar family.
Now, all of that was completely shattered.
But after all, he was a mature man who had been through a lot. His face quickly showed a worried expression again, "Julia, you didn't even tell me about this, but the man you chose must be extraordinary. I don't even know his name or what he does?"
Hearing this, Julia fell silent.
If she said it was Elliott from the Miller Group, her parents would probably come knocking today.
The Miller family wouldn't be easy to deal with either.
She simply looked at Elliott, her gaze seemed to say: You caused this mess, you deal with it.
"I just own a company, nothing compared to the Jude family, but I can guarantee Julia a luxurious life," Elliott said calmly, "Unlike Mr. Tovar, who works at a big company like the Jude family."
Garth felt defeated.
He had asked so many questions, only to find out that Elliott owned a company. Not only did he not get any more information, but he was also mocked by Elliott.
The implication was that Elliott owned a company, while Garth was just an employee.
"I'm just fortunate because of my father," Garth maintained a polite and elegant smile. "My dad is also a long-time shareholder of the Jude family, and he's been friends with Julia's father for decades. By the way, what kind of company do you run? Maybe we could collaborate on a suitable project in the future."
"The nature of our companies is different, we can't collaborate."
"Alright, now I'm even more curious," Garth raised an eyebrow, not noticing Julia's increasingly impatient look.
"Garth, do you need to be so curious about my husband?" Julia put down her spoon and said calmly, "When it's time to make it public, I will."
Garth's face stiffened. "Julia, we've known each other for over ten years, I'm just concerned about you."
"Thank you for your concern for my wife," Elliott was initially a bit annoyed, but hearing Julia acknowledge him as her husband made all his anger disappear, "There's nothing to hide about my company. Do you know the Miller Group? The Miller Group, involved in construction and automotive glass production."
"The Miller Group?"
No matter how composed and strong Garth's mental state was, he was shocked at this moment.
He pondered for a few seconds before saying, "If I remember correctly, there's only one Miller Group in Whisperlyn City, which came from Silverwood. The former socialite of the Miller Group was your brother Michael's first wife."
"Mr. Tovar, you have a good memory. The socialite from the Miller Group you mentioned is my sister," Elliott's indifferent voice seemed to drop a bombshell.
The air was eerily silent for a while.
Garth suddenly held his head and laughed, as if he had heard the most ridiculous joke in the world.
After laughing, he looked at Julia, "Julia, are you crazy?"
"I'm not crazy." Julia thought Elliott might be crazy.
Before yesterday, he avoided his identity like the plague, but now he was announcing it widely. Things had completely spiraled out of her control.
Garth stood up, his face already looking grim, "No, Julia, I think you're not thinking clearly. Are there no men left in the world? Does the Jude family have to keep finding people from the Miller family? Your parents would never agree to this, it's too absurd."
"What's absurd about it? We have no blood relation," Elliott retorted coldly, "Besides, this is our business;it has nothing to do with you."
If looks could kill, Garth would have dismembered Elliott several times over.
Garth looked at Julia, "Julia, I'm saying this as a friend, don't let yourself be deceived. After all, it's not easy for you to have everything you have today."
After saying that, Garth added, "I'll leave for now, I won't disturb you anymore."
He needed to go back and ask the Jude family about this. He didn't believe the Jude family would accept it.
But Garth's plans were all ruined, which made him very angry.
Garth never thought Julia's taste was so poor. She didn't fancy him but chose someone from a place like Silverwood.
The Miller Group had developed well, but no matter how well, it was still from a small place.
Moreover, if it weren't for their daughter currying favor with the president's son, the Miller Group wouldn't have achieved what it had today.
He didn't expect them to be so greedy, even letting their son cozy up to Julia.
Ridiculous.
After the door was slammed shut, Elliott let out a cold laugh, "Your colleague is quite bold, daring to slam your door. I don't think he just wants to be your colleague, he wants to be the master here."
Julia frowned. She had sensed Garth's intentions, but she never exposed them. After all, they had private collaborations. This time, it was too sudden, and Garth was provoked. Even someone as scheming as him lost control.
"I think you're quite bold too."
Now that only the two of them were left, Julia looked at him angrily, "Elliott, you hate me, you dislike me. It's enough for us to know about our marriage privately. Why did you announce it? Do you want things to get even more complicated?"
"Yes, if no one knows, it would be easy for you to get married or divorced, right?"
Elliott looked at her coldly, "Have you been married before, so you take marriage lightly? Julia, let me tell you, this is my first marriage, and marriage is not a joke to me."
Julia was stunned, "I don't take marriage lightly, I'm just afraid that if I continue to be with you, I might lose my life. Maybe our marriage was indeed a bit hasty."
Her last sentence was like a needle piercing Elliott's heart.
He stood up abruptly, his handsome face showing uncontrollable coldness, "Julia, let me tell you, even if you think it was hasty, we're married now. Don't even think about forcing me to divorce. If you dare to force me, I'll go to Whispering Pines Manor and confront your parents, asking if they think the Miller family's children are easy to bully. The Jude family children all want to bully the Miller family. Your brother wronged my sister, and now you want to mess with me."
