Chapter 1702 Moving Out

Elliott parked the car and stormed back to the apartment in a rage.

The apartment was silent. He walked to the bedroom and only then heard the sound of running water from the bathroom.

Inside, Julia was taking a shower. When she got back, she found her clothes soaked by the rain. She also heard footsteps outside the door, presumably Elliott had returned.

She hurried up her shower, but the next moment, the bathroom door was kicked open, and Elliott barged in, his expression so cold it made her shiver with both shame and fear.

"Elliott, get out."

Before she could finish her sentence, Elliott pinned her against the cold wall and kissed her fiercely.

She was bewildered and pushed him away forcefully, "What are you doing? I'm still showering."

"I need to check you." Elliott gripped her chin tightly, his eyes blazing with anger.

"What?"

Julia's eyes widened, completely confused by what he was saying.

But Elliott didn't give her any more chances.

On their wedding night, he had been rough, but compared to now, he had been almost gentle.

Julia was already exhausted, and by the end, she didn't feel tired, just in pain.

The pain was excruciating, no matter how much she begged, it was useless.

When the night finally ended, she moved painfully, and there was a stain of blood on the sheets.

She was in so much pain, not just physically, but her heart ached too.

Was it because she forced him to marry her that he disrespected her so much?

Julia looked up and, unable to bear it any longer, slapped him.

Elliott saw the bloodstain and, caught off guard, didn't dodge and got slapped.

The pain on his face made his eyes narrow. He quickly looked up, his gaze icy, and grabbed her wrist forcefully, "How dare you hit me."

"Did I hit you wrongly?" Julia glared at him angrily, "Elliott, I admit I was despicable, I shouldn't have forced you to marry me, but everything was because I liked you. But now I realize I was wrong. Some feelings, if forced, will only make you hate me endlessly. Tonight, I learned my lesson. I don't want to risk my life for you. If you really hate me that much, I won't force you anymore. I'll move out tomorrow."

"Move out?"

Elliott felt a sharp, inexplicable pain in his heart and lost control, shouting, "Julia, what do you take me for? You say get married, we get married. You say move in, you move in. Now you say move out, you move out. Am I your plaything to do as you please? Or have you found a new plaything and don't need me anymore?"

He tightened his grip, making Julia's jaw ache.

"Let go."

She pushed him hard, "I never treated you as a plaything. It's you, you're too much. Didn't you see the blood on the sheets, Elliott? You don't respect me at all."

"Why am I too much? Don't you know?"

Elliott's eyes were cold, "I never thought you were so complicated. We've only been married a few days, and you're already running to another man's house. You lied to me, saying you had a social event, work. Am I the only one who can't satisfy your desires?"

Julia's pale lips trembled.

She really didn't understand what he was talking about.

She didn't even understand why he thought she had gone to another man's house.

She admitted she had deceived him, but that was because she was too exhausted. Besides, she had come back, hadn't she?

"Say something. Did I hit the nail on the head, and you have no rebuttal?"

Elliott pressed on aggressively.

"Elliott, you're a bastard." Julia didn't want to argue with him anymore; she was too tired.

She struggled to slide off the bed, wrapping herself in the sheet, but her legs trembled with pain, as if she might faint at any moment.

"Where are you going?"

Elliott grabbed her wrist, "I ask you, where do you want to go so late? Are you going to find that man?"

"You're crazy."

Julia couldn't take it anymore. Every word he said was like a knife stabbing her chest, "Elliott, do you see me as a woman with no moral bottom line, shameless and despicable, just because I forced you to marry me? Think about it, if I just wanted to play with you, to sleep with you, would I need to gamble my marriage? What good would that do me? Do you feel better thinking of me as despicable? I don't understand, why has the Elliott I once loved become like this?"

Her eyes reddened with unbearable pain.

Once, the Elliott she loved was cold and didn't smile much, but he had the purest heart.

He was cold to other girls, but he gave her the best of everything.

No matter what, he would always stand by her side.

But now?

Julia really doubted herself.

Why had she gone through so much trouble to marry him?

Maybe life had changed them both beyond recognition. She was no longer the Julia she once was, and he was no longer the Elliott he once was.

Feelings were like sand; she tried desperately to hold onto them, but they kept slipping through her fingers.

Elliott was stunned, his throat moved with difficulty, "Do you think I want to be like this? Who made me this way? I once trusted you, and what did you give me in return? Now, what do I have to believe in you? Besides, tonight you were at another man's place, that's a fact. Julia, if you can't be faithful, don't mess with me."

It was always like this, back and forth. Really, he was human too. He had feelings, he could hurt, he could get angry.

"I'll say it again, I did nothing to betray you. I never even flirted with any man. Tonight, I was just having dinner with a board member and talking about company matters. If you don't believe me, there's nothing I can do."

Julia pulled her hand back, "Now, I'm going to the hospital. Please don't stop me."

Elliott was stunned for a few seconds. When he turned back, he saw her staggering towards the dressing room.

He clenched his fist, his gaze falling on the glaring red stain on the bed.

A wave of frustration surged up, and he punched the wall hard.

A few minutes later, Julia came out, dragging a suitcase and trembling.

"What are you doing?" Elliott's pupils contracted sharply.

"Going to the hospital, then moving out." Julia was calm now, but her face was terribly pale, "If I stay any longer, I might lose my life."

Elliott's body shook, then he went crazy and yanked her suitcase, smashing it to the ground, "Don't even think about it. Since you moved in here, you can only die here."
