"What are you daydreaming about now?" Joseph was displeased, thinking Cassie should be grateful to him at this moment.
"Nothing, just... thank you," Cassie said sincerely.
"You really should thank me properly, but just saying it is too cheap," Joseph mocked.
"Then when I get better, I'll make you some barbecue. But you can't eat it every day."
"Who likes barbecue? I only eat it because it's the only dish among your many that is barely passable," Joseph interrupted irritably.
Cassie stifled a laugh. Although she didn't understand why he was so insincere, she nodded appreciatively. "Yes, it's my fault. I'll reflect on it. By the way, how much were the phone, the nurse, and the hospital fees? I'll pay you back."
By the end, she was unsure. She had only a few thousand dollars in total and might not be able to pay it back.
"No need. Consider it the nanny fee for taking care of Dakota."
"But..."
"I don't need that little bit of money," Joseph interrupted. "I'm going to the office. Tomorrow, the nurse will handle your discharge paperwork. Go home to take care of Dakota."

At ten in the morning, Laura rushed over in a hurry.
She was very angry when she saw Cassie in this state. "Are we still friends? Something so big happened, and you didn't tell me. If I hadn't found Mr. Collins' contact information, I wouldn't have known you were in the hospital."

He is currently suspended and under investigation. Yesterday's bidding results are nullified. Many online comments are discussing whether Height Architectural Decoration Company secretly bribed Felix."
Cassie was stunned. "No way."
"Why would I lie to you? Let me show you the news." Laura quickly opened her phone and pulled up the webpage for Cassie to see.
Cassie was completely stunned; everything seemed too coincidental.
"He totally deserves it," Laura said with satisfaction. "So many large decoration companies bid yesterday and worked so hard for so long."
Cassie thought it was indeed good news.
At Height Architectural Decoration Company, Robert was so angry that he smashed an ashtray in his office.
It was the first time Olivia had seen Robert so furious, and she shrank back, too scared to move.
Last night, a group of company executives had just celebrated their successful bid with her. She came to work today feeling triumphant, only to find out that Felix had been arrested.
