Chapter 349

Vera, well aware of her daughter's schemes, whispered, "To completely win over a man, you need to capture his heart."

"But Joseph never lets me get close to him..." she replied hesitantly.

"Tonight's your chance. I'll have a word with the matriarch and suggest you check on a possibly intoxicated Joseph in his room," Vera hinted with a conspiratorial wink.
Luna blushed at the thought of surrendering herself to Joseph tonight, but the anticipation was undeniable. "Mom, you don't think Cassie really hooked up with Liam, do you?"

"As if she's worthy! She’s just like her mother, a real vixen," Vera said with disdain. "Just watch how I handle her tonight."

After Joseph stepped down from the stage, the chart-topping pop stars took turns performing.

As the show was nearing its end, Liam leaned over and whispered to Cassie, "I'll check the charity funds backstage. Meet me there in a bit."

"Alright." Cassie nodded.

Joseph caught a glimpse of the exchange, feeling a surge of anger tightening in his chest.

This infuriating woman always found ways to flirt with other men the moment he looked away.

And now, she dared to cozy up to Liam.

The wine glass in his hand was almost crushed in his grip.

Gathering his composure, he pulled out his phone and texted Cassie: "Meet me in room 408."

Cassie received the message quickly. Glancing at Joseph, she saw him intently watching the stage performance.

Inside, she cursed: What a hypocrite!

She didn't want to take such a risk at this event and replied low-key: "Can I wait for you back at home?"

Joseph retorted: "I'm already very angry. Don't try my patience further."

Speechless, Cassie let out a wry smile and silently rose to leave.

As she exited the hall, a drunk, overweight man stopped her, "Hey, beautiful! How about we chat in my room for a bit?"

"I'm busy." Cassie rejected him and turned to leave.

However, the man suddenly grasped her wrist, smirking. "Do you know who I am? I have plenty of money. Just one night with me, and I'll give you ten million."

"I'll give you ten million to get lost," Cassie said, struggling to free herself.

"Oh, playing hard to get, huh?" He said before shoving her against the wall and attempting to kiss her forcefully.

"Let me go!" Cassie slapped him across the face.

"How dare you slap me, you bitch?!" He swung back at her, but mid-strike, a strong hand grabbed his.

Then, the overweight man was hurled aside. "You dare hit me!"

He trembled at the sight of the towering figure before him—Joseph. "Perfect timing, Joseph. She was seducing me."

"Is that so, Edward? Do you dare cause trouble at the Hernandez Foundation event? Seems like you won't be needed at high-society galas anymore," Joseph said coldly before turning to his associate. "Break his leg and throw him out."

"Please, Joseph, don't," Edward begged. It was too late for him to kneel before Walter dragged him away.
Joseph turned around, his gaze landing on the disheveled woman leaning against the wall. She tipped her head back, looking at him with a pale, delicate face and wine-red lips that painted a picture of stunning beauty.
