Chapter 1246 You are no longer the chairman of the Hernandez Group.
Cassie threw up her hands, exasperated. "Dad, I don't think she's gonna go for it. She's all about her current fam, or more like, she's super into her hubby. I just had a quick chat with him, and she lost it, accusing me of trying to steal him."
Aiden felt a stab in his chest. "Your mom used to get jealous too, but she always kept her cool."
Was it possible she didn't love him enough?
That thought just made him feel worse. "If that's the case, then forget it. But if she lays a hand on you again, hit me up. Even if she's the woman I've always dreamed of, I won't let her hurt you. Plus, a mom shouldn't act like that."
"Got it." Cassie couldn't bring herself to tell Aiden that Declan was way hotter than him.
After hanging up, she felt a bit more at ease. She found Everett's number and called him.
But after a few rings, he hung up.
Cassie could only manage a bitter smile.
Honestly, if she didn't need info about Isabella and Olivia from Everett, she wouldn't bother contacting him at all.
She never thought that while she saw Everett as a brother, he was plotting to get close to her, and Declan had his own agenda too. She even stupidly spilled her plans to Declan.
Now that the Wittelsbach family knew her plans, they definitely wouldn't let her leave Madison without a hitch.
Thinking about how shady the Wittelsbach family was, Cassie felt a surge of anger.
After a moment, she decided to drive to the Hernandez group. Olivia was definitely there, and she needed to find out what Olivia was up to.
At the Hernandez group, Celeste and Isaac stood in the office, awkwardly holding a bunch of stuff, staring at Joseph.
After a long silence, Isaac finally spoke up, "Joseph, we're outta here. We're not part of the Hernandez group anymore."
Joseph hid the sarcasm in his eyes and said calmly, "Alright."
Celeste added awkwardly, "We didn't want to sell our shares, but we had no choice."
"Celeste, you don't need to explain to me. Grandpa gave you those shares. As long as you're happy." Joseph cut in coldly. "You've taken a ton of money, you don't expect me to feel sorry for you, do you?"
Celeste turned red with embarrassment and left with Isaac without another word.
Not long after, more footsteps echoed outside.
"Mr. Foster, let me show you around. This is gonna be my office from now on." Olivia walked in with David, laughing and chatting.
Joseph's eyes flashed with mockery, sneering, "David, you seem pretty tight with Olivia. Did you seal the deal with her in bed?"
"Mr. Hernandez, don't be so cynical about people's relationships." David adjusted his glasses. "Besides, she's now the biggest shareholder of the Hernandez group. As a minor shareholder, you should show her some respect."
"Yeah, this isn't your playground anymore," Olivia said with a grin, looking around the office, "The view here is awesome. I've decided, this will be my office from now on. Joseph, your office is moving to the first floor."
She waved to the bodyguards behind her. "Alright, guys, help Mr. Hernandez pack up. After all, he was the big boss here and did a lot. Oh, and by the way, you're not the chairman anymore. Starting today, you're the general manager of the PR department. With your looks, you'll kill it there."
"Not too shabby," David added with a smirk.
Joseph stood there, hands in his pockets, looking down at them like they were nothing.
To him, they were just ants, but now they were acting all high and mighty.
He wanted to crush them both.
"Mr. Hernandez, why the death stare? With my new status, you should be bowing down to me, got it?" Before Olivia could finish, Joseph took a step towards her, his face ice-cold.
She felt a jolt of fear and instinctively ducked behind the nearest bodyguard, shouting, "What are you trying to do? Get out of here now. You don't belong here anymore. Move it!"
A flurry of activity erupted in the office, and someone deliberately knocked a photo of him and Cassie off the desk, aiming to stomp on it.
But before he could, Joseph kicked him away.
He bent down, picked up the photo album, the glass already shattered. He carefully took out the photo inside.
Olivia sneered, "Mr. Foster, isn't that your wife? Some people just can't keep their hands to themselves."
"Yeah, if she doesn't behave, I'll have someone bring her back and teach her a lesson," David said coldly.
"Really? You can try," Joseph said with a chilling smile, his eyes drifting below David's belt. "Piss me off, and I'll make sure you can't use it."
David met his gaze and sneered, "I'm still better off than you. I heard you've been seeing doctors to fix your little problem."
"Seriously?" Olivia pretended to be shocked, covering her mouth.
"Absolutely. Mr. Hernandez is totally impotent." David laughed triumphantly. "Cassie must be so lonely. Don't worry, I'll take good care of her for you soon."
Joseph's fists clenched tightly.
David taunted, "Go ahead, hit me. If you do, the cops will be all over you, and I'll make sure to take Cassie back tonight."
Joseph took several deep breaths, fighting to keep his anger in check.
Seeing this, Olivia got even cockier. "Oh, by the way, I'm now the main shareholder of the company. The chairman's seat is mine. I've decided to team up with the Wit group, and I'm planning to hand over the medical equipment tech we brought in this year to Mr. Foster."
"Sorry, but you don't have the authority to transfer that tech," Joseph said coldly. "When I partnered with the Garrison group, the contract specified the tech was transferred to me personally, not the Hernandez group. No one but me has the rights to it."
Olivia was stunned, not quite getting it, but David caught on quick. "So what? As long as the lab's ours, we can take whatever tech we want. By now, our people should have broken in."
