Chapter 91
""Of course, she wouldn't. She has used all her shady tricks on me,"" Joseph hummed coldly.
Noah felt as if he could smell a strong scent of showy affection.
But what's there to show off? She's not even acknowledging you now, is she?
After ridiculing silently, Noah said, ""Based on what the Brooks family has done before, they won't just let it go today. Last time, they locked Cassie up and almost killed her. I wonder if Cassie might be in danger again. Should we keep an eye out?""
Joseph continued looking through the documents. ""No need, unless she comes crawling to me.""
He paused for a moment and added, ""But to beat a dog, you have to look at its owner. The Brooks family really doesn't regard me at all. Push this video as hard as possible behind the scenes. Make it go viral, and no platform is allowed to delete it.""
""Okay."" Noah had no strength to criticize. Didn't he just agree to help if she begged? The reversal came too quickly.
""Hurry up!"" Joseph said with annoyance, furrowing his eyebrows.
Just as he finished speaking, his phone rang. He looked at it and saw that it was Cassie calling.
Seeing this long-lost phone call, his suppressed mood inexplicably turned brighter.
""I guess she knows her situation is not looking good. She must be calling to make amends."" Joseph pointed at the phone and smiled.
Noah really wanted to remind him that he said the same thing last time, and she completely ignored him.
But seeing Joseph's triumphant look, he didn't dare to say it.
""I won't answer."" Joseph threw the phone onto the table, acting like he couldn't be bothered, but his eyes kept darting to the screen.
The call was about to end when he picked it up again. ""Forget it. Maybe she's being chased by people from the Brooks family right now. If I don't pick up this call, she'll be in trouble.""
Noah was speechless.
""What are you looking at? Get lost!"" Joseph glared at him.
Noah quickly scurried away, but he heard Joseph press the answer button. In a cold and indifferent tone, Joseph said, ""I'm busy. You have ten seconds, hurry up.""
Noah stumbled and almost fell.
Now he was certain that Joseph would be furious later, so he left the office hurriedly.
On the other end of the phone, Cassie could tell from his condescending tone that she was getting on his nerves.
If it were in the past, she would have been considerate and afraid to bother him, but now, what was he to her?
""I'm busy too. Please let me know when you have time. I want a divorce.""
There was a strange silence in the air for a few seconds. Then Joseph leaned back on the leather chair and let out a deep laugh. ""Playing hard to get? Well, you have just reached a new level, Cassie.""
Cassie was speechless. ""I'm serious. I just want to divorce you right away.""
""Don't you regret it?"" Joseph's face turned gloomy.
He didn't believe her at all. This woman had completely lost her integrity just to get him. How could she easily give up now?
""I don't regret it. When are you free?""
""Fine, I am free now."" If she wanted to play, he would indulge her.
Cassie was taken aback. Didn't he just say he was too busy? It seemed that he could make time even in the busiest moments to divorce her.
""Then I'll come over now. Let's meet in half an hour,"" she said with a hint of triumph in her tone before hanging up the phone."
