Chapter 864

"Megan went out to buy something in the afternoon and disappeared. I couldn't reach her either. When I asked the nanny, I found out she didn't return to Seaside Haven. That's when I checked the surveillance and found out she was taken into a car in the mall parking lot by someone covering her mouth and nose," nbsp;Michael nbsp;said, annoyed.

nbsp;

Then he continued, "Get back here right now. Megan is all alone, and if she encounters some bad guys, she might not survive."

nbsp;

"I'll be back right away," nbsp;Joseph answered.

nbsp;

He nbsp;stood up nbsp;instantly.

nbsp;

Cassie came up from behind and hugged Joseph, her eyes charming. nbsp;"Joseph, are you going to leave me?"

nbsp;

"You're coming with me," Joseph said softly.

nbsp;

"But I don't want you to deal with Megan's matters. Let Michael and Lucas handle it," Cassie said softly.

nbsp;

A hint of darkness flashed in Joseph's deep eyes upon hearing this.

nbsp;

Soon after, Michael's roar came through the phone that hadn't been hung up yet, "Cassie, you're so malicious. Megan has been kidnapped, okay? The kidnappers might kill Megan. You're still just jealous. You don't even have basic empathy. How could Joseph be interested in a woman like you?"

nbsp;

"Michael!" Without giving Michael a chance to continue, Joseph hung up directly.

nbsp;

Joseph turned to Cassie seriously and said, "If you don't want to come back, you can stay here. Tomorrow, I'll have Joel come and get you tomorrow, or stay with you for a few days."

nbsp;

"Wasn't Joel sent out of town by you?" nbsp;she then asked.

nbsp;

"I'll have Joel come back immediately," Joseph said, quickly putting on his clothes and grabbing his phone.

nbsp;

As Joseph opened the door, the cool night breeze from the mountains blew in. Cassie hugged herself tightly, but Joseph didn't seem to notice and left straight away.

nbsp;

Cassie hugged her knees and chuckled softly.

nbsp;

Just now, a few sweet words from Joseph had moved her. No one would have expected things to change so quickly.

nbsp;

This way, at least Cassie's heart won't be easily moved in the future.

nbsp;

Thanks to Megan, the news of Cassie and Joseph's visit to the famous mountain peak during the day made headlines. At night, Megan was kidnapped. It's too coincidental.

nbsp;

This seemed nbsp;to be a new conspiracy, probably related to the man heading to Neya City.

nbsp;

Cassie tried to call Anthony but couldn't get through. nbsp;For some reason, a shadow seemed to loom over Cassie's heart, just like the darkness outside.

nbsp;

Cassie quickly got up and found the villa's owner. nbsp;"Sir, can you arrange for someone to take me down the mountain immediately? I have an urgent matter."

nbsp;

"Why don't you go with your boyfriend? You two, a couple, going down the mountain one after the other late at night," he nbsp;yawned. "I remind you, it's late at night, and these are all winding roads, not easy to navigate."

nbsp;

"I really have an urgent matter. Find a good driver for me; I'm willing to pay whatever it takes," nbsp;she added.

nbsp;

At six in the morning, Joseph walked briskly into Seaside Haven.

nbsp;

Top hackers, Dragon, the Jude family's top hands, and many police officers had already gathered here.

nbsp;

When Michael saw Joseph, he punched him nbsp;and shouted, "It's all your fault. If you hadn't discharged Megan and withdrawn Dragon's people, she wouldn't have been kidnapped. Damn it, if Megan's life is in danger, I won't forgive you."

nbsp;

Joseph grabbed Michael's fist, his eyes narrowed, and then he scoffed, "Instead of arguing with me, you better start searching immediately."

nbsp;

After a while, Joseph turned to Wyatt and asked, "Any progress?"
