Chapter 35 Tears of helplessness

Joseph guessed the meaning from his words and looked at the phone, seeing a photo of a woman lying face down on a bed.

From the back, the woman's waist was slender, and her jeans and shirt outlined her figure seductively.

He remembered Cassie was wearing that outfit that evening.

He snatched the phone. "Where is this?"

"I don't know. What's wrong with you?" Noah was puzzled.

Joseph glared at him. "That's Cassie."

Noah was stunned. "The live stream starts at 7:30. That's in fifteen minutes."

"Call the police immediately," Joseph ordered, quickly opening his laptop in the private room. Within a minute, he had locked onto the live stream's IP location.

Fortunately, Cassie was in a nearby hotel.

In the hotel, Cassie felt dizzy and nauseous. She tried to open her eyes and found herself on an unfamiliar large bed. She wanted to sit up but had no strength.

"Don't struggle. Let me take good care of you tonight," Anthony said, emerging from the bathroom wearing only a towel.

Cassie almost vomited but squinted and recognized him. "Are you Anthony?"

"You still recognize me," Anthony said, staring at her body.

He reached out to grab her.

"Get away from me," Cassie weakly tried to kick him, but Anthony easily caught her leg.

"Don't rush. Take it slow. Look, so many people are watching us," Anthony said, pulling her leg toward him. "So fragrant."

Cassie noticed the two cameras by the bed for the first time.

A wave of unprecedented fear and despair surged in her heart. "You bastard, let me go!"

Anthony pinned her arms down and tore open her shirt.

"Help!" Cassie cried, shedding tears.

She had lost her lover and family, and now even her last bit of dignity and self-respect was being stripped away.

Her eyes suddenly widened. "Even if I die, I won't let you succeed!"

She bit her tongue hard, but Anthony slapped her so hard that she lost consciousness for a moment.

At that moment, Cassie's eyes were dull, filled with soul-crushing despair.

Anthony grinned maniacally. "No one is coming to save you."

Just then, the door was kicked open with a powerful force!

Anthony panicked and quickly got up.

Joseph glanced at Cassie on the bed. Her cheeks were swollen and flushed, her clothes half-torn and hanging loosely.

A surge of anger rushed to his head, and Joseph threw a fierce punch.

With his strength and ferocity, he soon had Anthony on the ground.

Joseph quickly ripped off the camera and smashed it over Anthony's head, then took off his suit jacket and wrapped it around Cassie.

"Cassie, are you okay?" He didn't dare touch her swollen face, so he gently patted her back.

"Don't touch me." Cassie's mind was still foggy. Feeling someone touching her, she instinctively shivered and resisted, tears rolling down her cheeks.

Seeing Cassie in such a state, Joseph felt both regret for her foolishness and heartache for her ordeal.

"Don't be afraid. It's me. No one will hurt you." He gently stroked her head.

Cassie smelled a familiar, comforting scent that made her feel at ease.

Her unfocused eyes slowly regained clarity, and she saw Joseph in front of her. "Joey?"

"You'll be okay." Joseph gently wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes.
