"How does it feel to be ignored by the man you love?" Cassie's cold voice appeared in her ear.
Megan turned around and faced Cassie's pretty face, wishing she could tear her apart.
"Cassie, don't be so smug. Joseph just temporarily misunderstood Nathan. Besides, all of this is just your word, and there's no evidence."
Megan quickly calmed down. If Cassie had evidence, she wouldn't be here causing trouble; she would have gone to find Nathan already. This time, Nathan didn't come to her for help, which means Nathan was well-prepared, and Cassie couldn't go question Nathan.
"Yeah, I don't have it, but won't Joseph investigate? Do you think he won't doubt Nathan's character? Do you think Nathan's little tricks can fool him?"
After Cassie finished speaking, Megan's face changed completely.
"Megan, you can hypnotize Joseph to love you, but can you hypnotize his nature? He's not a bad person, but he's been tolerating Nathan for your sake. Once or twice is fine, but what about three or four times? When people outside are accusing him of being an accomplice, what do you think he will do?"
Cassie curled her lips and looked around, "Also, this villa is where Joseph and I used to live. You're occupying it, sleeping in the bed I slept in. Don't you feel ashamed?"
After saying that, she no longer looked at Megan's ugly expression, got in the car, turned around, and left.

A moment later, she took out her phone and called Nathan, "Did you have someone trash Cassie's house last night?"
"No, I just had someone trash the place where Laura was staying," Nathan said smugly.
Megan was almost furious. "Laura is staying at Cassie's place now. You trashed her house, and Cassie came to make trouble for me this morning."
"She dared to go to you? Have Joseph stop her." Nathan said nonchalantly, "Don't worry, I hired those who just got out of jail for robbery. The police will just see them as repeat offenders and won't suspect me. Besides, I paid them hush money. They won't talk."
Megan took a deep breath and asked, "How did you pay the hush money?"
"I had my assistant transfer it to their families' accounts."
At that moment, Megan felt her blood boil, "Are you an idiot? Joseph can easily find out."
"Will he investigate?" Nathan was scared. "Then you persuade him. Am I not more important than Cassie?"
"Cassie came ready to play, and Joseph still had feelings for her. Bro, can you lay off, causing drama for me? I've said it a million times: if there's any beef, hold off until after I tie the knot. Why can't you just chill and wait?"
After hanging up the phone, Megan narrowed her eyes. Although Nathan was her brother, if he kept causing trouble like this, something would happen sooner or later. Maybe it was time to give up on him.
But even a nearly useless person could be used as a tool in the right place to show value.
On the way back from the beach house, Joseph called Nathaniel, "Check what exactly happened at Cassie's place last night."
Nathaniel had connections at the police station and found out in less than ten minutes.
"Joseph, around ten o'clock last night, four men broke into Cassie's house. Luckily, Dakota was at the hospital dealing with high blood pressure, and Cassie hightailed it over there. If she had run into those guys, it could've been real bad news. I heard those dudes are regular troublemakers, always getting into fights, robbing folks, causing chaos out on the streets." Nathaniel paused as he spoke.
