Chapter 1666 Disposal
"Yes." Julia nodded and lowered her gaze.
Her long eyelashes cast a heavy shadow on her beautiful and capable face.
"Michael has really lost it," Aaron said angrily. "Rolf is Uncle's rival."
James looked sorrowful. He felt like a failed father for not raising Michael properly. "It's my fault. After Megan's incident was exposed, I should have taken a hard stance and sent Michael abroad. I thought he was just foolish, but I didn't expect this."
James sighed deeply after speaking.
Caroline's eyes were red with tears. "Michael was deceived by Megan too badly. His mind is already unbalanced. This time, Michael really can't stay abroad. Julia, arrange a transfer immediately and send Michael out of the country. He should never come back."
James and Eric remained silent, implicitly agreeing to the matter.
Julia sat in the chair, her fingers unconsciously rubbing the armrest, her eyes deep in thought. "With things at this level, will sending Michael away solve the problem?"
Everyone was stunned.
Eric thought for a moment and said, "Indeed, Michael has tarnished the reputation of the White House. If he leaves the country easily, it will make people think the White House can be easily provoked. Let's detain Michael for a while. You should inform Carl."
No one considered anything more severe. No matter how angry Carl was, Michael was still his nephew.
Julia sighed inwardly. Her family had lived a peaceful life for too long, their edges had been worn down. "Grandpa, with things at this level, do you think Carl will let Michael leave the country? Michael is trying to ruin Carl's reputation and pull him down from the presidency."
Mentioning this made Eric's face darken.
James said helplessly, "I know, I'm very angry too. But Michael is still my son, and he's also your brother. We can't lock him up forever."
"Dad, you might not realize, Michael is a hundred times worse than you think."
Julia stood up. "Rolf said Michael incited him to seek foreign forces."
"What?" Caroline was shocked. "That can't be true. Rolf must be lying."
"Why would he lie?" Julia asked calmly. "Michael is already useless to him. And while Rolf is ambitious, he has always adhered to his principles and never contacted outside forces. We're all smart people. Internal issues are one thing, but involving outsiders changes everything."
The entire hall fell silent. James was trembling, barely able to sit upright by holding onto the chair.
Aaron murmured, "This is terrifying. Michael is trying to..."
Aaron couldn't finish his sentence, but everyone understood.
Julia said coldly, "Since Michael has this intention, we can't let him leave the country. He hates Carl now, and he might even hate us. Over the years, he grew up in the Jude family and worked in the Jude Group. He has been involved in energy project development and holds some secrets. If those secrets get out, I don't need to spell out the consequences."
Everyone was alarmed.
They weren't fools. A little thought about the consequences showed they couldn't bear them.
Eric suddenly seemed much older.
All along, Eric thought he was quite successful. But now, looking back, he felt like a failure. He had raised a monster in the Jude family.
James said nothing.
Michael was James' precious child, but James wasn't foolish enough to continue pleading for him.
Caroline said painfully, "Julia, are we just going to watch Michael die? No matter what, he's still your brother. Isn't there another way? I just want him to live, nothing more."
Julia felt a pang in her heart but remained calm. "Let Carl's family decide. This isn't something I can decide on my own."
Everyone looked at each other, and the hall fell silent again.
Derek's family only found out about this in the afternoon.
In the White House, Carl rubbed his temples wearily and smiled bitterly. "Michael grew up under my watch. How did he turn out so bad? He's even worse than Megan."
Violet smiled coldly. "It's a good thing we didn't force Michael out of the country earlier. I think he should be locked up and never let out."
Carl said nothing, just looked at Derek. "Derek, what do you think? James has called me several times, asking for a way out for Michael."
"Locking Michael up is already the best way out for him," Violet said flatly. "Someone like Michael, if released, will cause endless trouble. We were lucky this time, but how many times can we endure this?"
Carl sighed deeply. Was this really the only way?
At this point, he didn't like Michael much either. But he had to consider James' feelings and avoid creating a rift.
After all, James had always been accommodating to Carl.
Derek looked at Carl's expression, thought for a moment, and said, "Actually, there's a drug that, once injected, will make a person completely forget their past. It's a new development."
Carl was taken aback, remembering something. "But I heard that drug causes cognitive decline."
"Dad, why does Michael need to be smart? As long as he can eat, drink, and take care of himself, it's enough. Besides, he won't become an idiot, just less intelligent. Michael has Julia above him and Aaron below. Even if James and the others are gone, someone will take care of Michael."
Derek frowned. "This is the only way. Otherwise, as Mom said, we have to lock Michael up for life."
Violet raised a concern. "Wait, you can make him lose his memory, but the internet has a memory. Even if his intelligence declines, he's not an idiot. Over time, he could easily find out about his past online. If he remembers Laura is his ex-wife and Maeve is his daughter, it could cause trouble. Honestly, I didn't oppose Maeve and Michael interacting before, but now, I don't agree."
She glanced at Derek. "If you plan to marry Laura in the future, it will cause problems."
"So, Mom, what do you suggest?"
"Increase the dosage. Michael should become a fool," Violet said coldly. "Honestly, I don't think locking Michael up for life is a good idea. After your dad retires, if someone releases Michael, who knows what extreme things he might do? We can't always have bodyguards with us after retirement."
