Chapter 1134 Mr. Hernandez Is Really Clingy

Joseph finished digging and video-called Cassie. "Cassie, look, I wrecked Seaside Haven."

Cassie, at work, saw Joseph standing in the ruins and was stunned. "Are you bored or something? You said you were going to work, but you demolished a house. How?"

"I used an excavator."

"You can operate an excavator?" Cassie was shocked.

"Just learned this morning," Joseph said with a faint smile.

Cassie thought, 'Come on! It takes months to learn that.'

"Congrats on your new money-making skill," Cassie teased.

"Cassie, I wanted to destroy this place. Our home was tainted by Megan, and I didn't want it to be an eyesore for you," Joseph said seriously.

Cassie's expression softened. "Where's Megan?"

"I drove her away. She grabbed some jewelry and left," Joseph said, looking both sarcastic and sad. "I can't believe I used to date her. She makes me sick."

"Then think about me, and you won't feel sick," Cassie said playfully, blinking.

Joseph's heart melted. "Cassie, have lunch with me, okay? I miss you."

"Enough. We've been apart for less than two hours," Cassie said, blushing.

"But I miss you. If you don't come, I'll come to your office for lunch," Joseph said with a smile.

"The food at our company is just so-so."

"Doesn't matter. Anything tastes good with you," Joseph said eagerly.

Cassie blushed, hung up, and calmed herself before calling Locco. "Prepare an extra meal. Joseph's coming for lunch."

Locco was surprised. "Mr. Hernandez is really clingy."

"Yes, he is." Cassie smiled sweetly.

No one would have thought Joseph could be so clingy in love, wanting to be together every day.

Meanwhile, Megan finally showed up in front of David, looking disheveled. She had nothing left—the villa was gone, and the ten billion dollars had to be returned. She never thought David would be her last resort.

But when she saw David's cold expression, her heart sank. She should have known he was even colder and more ruthless than she was. He kept her around only because she was useful.

"I thought you were useful, but now..." David shook his head, clearly disappointed. "You don't even have ten billion dollars. How are you any different from any other woman?"

Megan gritted her teeth. "There's a difference. I hate Joseph. I want to destroy him."

David raised an eyebrow coldly.

Megan stepped closer. "I wouldn't say that if I didn't have a way. When I hypnotized him, I left a backdoor."

David narrowed his eyes. "Really?"

"Absolutely," Megan nodded. "Everyone has their low points. Even though you haven't divorced Cassie yet, Joseph and Cassie are together, even spending nights together. Doesn't that bother you?"

David clenched his fists, his face twisted with rage. "Megan, I'll give you one more year. Show me your worth."

"Okay," Megan gritted her teeth. "But first, I want Nathan dead."

David raised an eyebrow and smirked. "You know what I admire about you? You're the second most ruthless woman I've met, even willing to harm your own family."

"He betrayed me," Megan snapped. "That idiot even said I kidnapped him. When did I ever kidnap him?"

"Strange. Probably one of Joseph's schemes," David frowned. "But Nathan is now protected by the Nelson family. I can't touch him." Megan bit her lip in frustration.

"But that's temporary," David said calmly. "In two months, Joseph, Lucas, and their group won't be able to stop me."

Megan looked shocked. From what she knew, David was in a bad spot because of the Nelson family. What was he planning?

She hesitated. "I think you underestimate the Nelson family's power. Even Marcus wouldn't gain an advantage against them now."

"I know. You'll understand soon," David said with a cold smile.

Megan's heart skipped a beat. "You said I'm the second most ruthless woman. Who's the first?"

"You're about the same, and she also hates Joseph and Cassie the most," David said with a sinister smile.

Megan fell silent, thinking, 'Who could that woman be? Maybe we could join forces.'

Neya City was an independent place far from any country, surrounded by the sea and desert. It was the most mysterious and wealthiest place in the world, because it was owned by the Wittelsbach family. The Wittelsbachs controlled key shipping routes and had banks worldwide.

In the largest casino, Olivia had been winning for three consecutive nights. With thick, wine-red hair and striking features, she attracted men from various countries, all eyeing her with desire.

"Sorry, I won again," Olivia said coolly, flipping the last card. Amidst the fiery gazes, she swayed her curvaceous body and left.

Out of sight, urgency welled up inside her. She had been here for a week, having hired top gambling experts to ensure her wins. But she knew she couldn't keep winning by tomorrow.

She thought, 'Why hasn't that man shown up yet? Did David lie to me? No, even if there's a slim chance, I have to seize it. I can't afford any mistakes.'
