Chapter 55 Meeting my actual uncle
A man who looked under thirty stood by the swimming pool. He was tall, with refined and gentle features, wearing a custom-made black suit that made him look elegant and scholarly.
She hesitated for a moment and tentatively asked, "Mr. Foster?"
"You're the designer Billy sent? You're too young," David said, his eyes showing a hint of amazement.
Cassie was the most beautiful woman he had seen since returning to Silverwood. Anyone unaware might think Billy had sent her to tempt him.
However, her clear and determined eyes indicated she was serious about her work.
"I'm Mr. Shaw's schoolmate. Mr. Foster, you can review my design after I measure the house. If you don't like it, we can discuss changing designers. I have no problem with that," Cassie responded calmly yet confidently. "And I believe youth has nothing to do with capability, just like you're also very young."
David smiled. "I can't argue with that."
After Cassie handed over her business card, David took it and looked at it. "Cassie, it sounds familiar."
Cassie, worried he had heard bad rumors about her, quickly said, "Maybe it's a common name. If you don't mind, Mr. Foster, could you walk me through your requirements while we look around?"
David then took her on a tour of the large villa.
He told her he needed a gym, a home theater, a basketball room, and an indoor swimming pool.
Cassie got a general idea of his preferred style and, in less than half an hour, handed David a beautiful sketch.
David glanced at it and couldn't find any flaws; the design was exactly to his taste.
He praised, "Ms. Brooks, your skills are on par with the top designers I've met. This indoor swimming pool design is quite interesting."
"The final render will look even better."
"Alright, I'll give you a week. I hope to start the project as soon as possible." David handed her a key card. "You can come to my office anytime if you need to discuss anything. Here's my business card."
Cassie glanced at it and saw he was the president of the Wit Group.
Leaving the villa, she wanted to see if there were any other unrenovated villas in the neighborhood.
After walking a few steps, she saw a white car drive into a large villa.
She pondered, 'Isn't that Joseph's car? Could it be that he also bought a house here?'
"What are you doing here?" Suddenly, a familiar voice came from behind.
She turned around and saw Arthur getting out of the car.
Normally, Cassie would turn and leave, but meeting him here made her curious. "I should be asking you that. Are you and Olivia planning to buy a house here?"
"No, we haven't bought one yet. I'm here to see my uncle's villa. He's planning to renovate it, and I intend to have him give the house to Olivia," Arthur said while observing her expression.
Cassie always claimed she secured her resources on her own. Now he wanted her to see how many benefits he could provide to his partner.
Sure enough, he saw Cassie's expression change, which made him feel a bit satisfied. "Do you regret it? If you were like before, I could still provide you with resources."
Cassie was infuriated, thinking, 'I must have been blind to have liked him before. I was only uncomfortable just now because I thought of Joseph. So Joseph really has a house here. It doesn't matter to whom he hires to renovate it, but if he hires Olivia, I would definitely be angry.'
"Alright, it's not up to you to decide who gets to renovate his villa. He might even have a wife, and whatever she says would carry more weight than anything you say." She thought to herself that she was definitely going to badmouth Arthur later.
Arthur frowned. "My uncle isn't even married. Where would I get an aunt from? He and I are very close, and he always agrees to my requests."
Cassie sneered. "Fine, then go ask him to give you his property and see if he does."
"Are you crazy?" Arthur's face turned red with anger. "No wonder Robert and Helen locked you up. You deserved it."
